CLOSING HEADLINER: Using AI to Tackle Climate Change

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges society has ever faced, and its consequences are becoming increasingly present and overwhelming, as natural disasters multiply, sea levels rise, and ecosystems falter. While no silver bullet, machine learning can be an invaluable tool in fighting climate change, both in terms of mitigation and adaptation. Sasha will present some of the existing solutions as well as those that have yet to be proposed, as well as opportunities in terms of research and commercialization in this game-changing space.
