Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Update 26 Feb 2020

With World Summit Americas taking place in Montreal at the end of March, we are taking a dynamic approach to monitoring the situation to ensure that all participants and staff at World Summit Americas are able to make informed travel decisions.

As of 26 Feb 2020, Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has assessed the public health risk associated with COVID-19 as low for Canada.

Again, as of 26 Feb 2020, there are currently no confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Québec province.

World Summit Americas is therefore going ahead as planned. We continue to follow advice from the World Health Organisation, the Public Health Agency of Canada, as well as that of local government. Staff, exhibitors and visitors will be encouraged to maintain good hand, respiratory and personal hygiene in advance of, and during the event.

We will continue to monitor and act upon recommendations from the Association of Event Organisers, the Events Council, the WHO, and the Canadian authorities, and will update this page regularly.

Should governmental advice change, we will be in contact with all sponsors, partners and registered delegates with a further update, and updates will also be shared on our website and social channels.
